Interview: Real-Word Positive Ripples from Digital Marketing with Shoutout Colorado

Jennings here, founder of Jennings Creative Agency. I got interviewed for Shoutout Colorado magazine! This was such a fun interview all about this digital marketing business. Read an excerpt here:

Hi Jennings, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
It was really important to me in starting my business that what I’m providing helps humanity, the planet and our collective positive growth. And after years of experience with digital marketing, I know what a powerful force it is!
So, with Jennings Creative Agency, my team and I use the power of digital and social media marketing to amplify the voices and grow the online audiences of those who are working for good. This includes ethically aligned thought leaders and spiritual leaders, environmental organizations, and eco friendly businesses. Our services help to increase their impact and increase the amount of people they reach, and this results in many positive real-world ripples.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think my strength comes from a fusion of creativity and discipline. Creativity is something I’m so grateful to be naturally very strong in, and it’s extremely necessary for generating new ideas, iterating digital campaigns as we see what’s working and what’s not, coming up with video concepts and marketing materials, and being able to take a client’s vision and bring it to life. Creatively brainstorming and figuring out new ideas and concepts is something I can do all day long!

AND, without the discipline to follow through on creative ideas, they would remain just that: ideas. That’s where I think a lot of people get stuck, and where I got stuck for a long time. For me, developing discipline in all areas of my life has helped tremendously with discipline in my business. Being very consistent with my workout routine has been my biggest teacher in this – every time I demonstrate to myself that I can show up and follow through on my commitment, my trust in myself gets that much stronger and it becomes easier to show up the next time, in every area of my life. Developing self-trust is HUGE.

The other thing I’ll say is that personal development into a true entrepreneur and leader is a team sport! It’s possible that some people have achieved this in a vacuum, but I’m sure not one of them. I’ve had too many incredible teachers and mentors to list, and still do, and my family has always encouraged me and been very supportive of me as I’ve off-roaded my way onto this path. Supportive friendships also help lift me up and keep me going when times get tough, and my girlfriends are my biggest cheerleaders and supporters!

Overall, I’d say this business has been born out of a long road of self-development, trial and error, constant learning, and leaning into what works for myself, my team and my clients. Know that if you’re out there doing your own thing, developing something that truly has the vibration of service, you are on the right track! As long as you keep going, your great work in the world will succeed and get recognized – just keep your creativity flowing and your discipline strong!
